Alprazolam affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety. Alprazolam is commonly used to relieve anxiety, nervousness and tension associated with anxiety disorders. Also used to treat panic disorders and other purposes not mentioned here.
How to intake Alprax dose?
Take the medication exactly as directed by your doctor. Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water. Never take more than prescribed. Alprazolam is a habit. It's easy to become physically and psychologically dependent on it. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication and don `t run for longer than is directed. Withdrawal effects may occur if alprazolam is stopped suddenly after being used by several weeks. Doctors may recommend a gradual reduction in dose.
What are the common side effects of Alprax?
Stop taking alprazolam and seek emergency medical help or contact your doctor immediately in cases such as sore mouth or throat, rash, yellowing of skin or eyes, an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips, face, or tongue, or difficulty breathing, closing of your throat), hallucinations or severe confusion, or changes in your vision. Less serious side effects can often occur. Continue to take alprazolam and talk to your doctor if you are vomiting, nausea, diarrhea or constipation, dry mouth, depression (or changes in behavior), drowsiness, dizziness, or clumsiness, difficulty urinating, vivid dreams, headache, decreased sexual desire. Other side effects may also occur. Tell your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
